Such recovery can be made by way of deduction from your salary, or from such other sums as may be owed to you by the company.Working time directiveIn line with the Working Time Regulations for the UK, no employee will be obliged to work more than 48 hours per week, averaged over a 17-week period. Employees who have signed their Statement of Terms and Conditions of Employment are automatically opted out of this arrangement, i.e. they may work more than 48 hours per week and have agreed this.You should be aware that work as defined in these regulations includes contractual hours, job related travelling time (but not travelling outside of normal working hours), doing paid or unpaid overtime, authorised entertaining outside working hours and any additional time outside normal working hours spent on the companys behalf e.g. being on call on site.Should you wish to opt back into the Working Time Regulations, i.e. specify that you will not work more than 48 hours per week, averaged over a 17 week period, you should notify the company in writing giving 3 months notice.47'
